DOOKSの本は、どれも細やかな手捌きで丁寧に編集、デザインされていていると思います。DOOKSの相島さんは、アーティストから受け取った素材を一つ一つ丁寧に、解きほぐすように編集していて、そこから最小限の手つきでデザインを組み立て本に仕立てている印象です。板前さんが握るお寿司のような、素材を大切にする繊細な技を感じます。だからかDOOKSの本を手に取ると、直接的にアーティストと会話しているような感覚にさせられます。
