2010年にオンラインストアとしてスタートし、2020年1月に実店舗を東京・代田橋にオープン。 写真集を中心に新刊、古書、洋書、和書を問わず、独自の視点でセレクトし、気取らない姿勢で統一された店内は、訪れるたびにいつも新たな出会いが待っている。店頭では定期的に作家の展示が行われ、ファンとの交流の場にもなっている。
Started as an online store in 2010 and opened a physical shop in Daitabashi, Tokyo in January 2020. We select books with our own point of view, mainly photobooks, including new titles, second-hand books, and both international and Japanese publications.The shop has a simple and unpretentious atmosphere, where you can always discover something new each time you visit. We regularly host exhibitions by artists in the shop, which also becomes a place for exchange with visitors and fans.

DoBeDoは、ロンドン南部を拠点とする写真に特化した団体である。大規模なカタログ・レゾネから、「6 x 4」シリーズ（各アーティストが監修し、6x4のミニラボ形式でプリントされたイメージを用い、インハウスでデザイン、組版、製本まで行う少部数の出版物）まで、幅広い出版物を制作している。出版プログラムは、ギャラリースペース「Graces Mews」で開催される展覧会、ワークショップ、上映、その他のイベントと並行して展開されている。
DoBeDo is a photography focused organisation based in South London. DoBeDo produces publications ranging from large-scale catalogue raisonné to our 6 x 4 series (publications that are designed, assembled and bound in-house, with images printed in the 6x4 mini-lab format in small runs overseen by each artist). Our publishing programme runs in parallel with exhibitions, workshops, screenings and other events held at our gallery space, Graces Mews.

Lucy, who used to visit the shop as a customer, has started working at a gallery and publishing house specialising in photography. They publish books that are stimulating and edgy, appealing to the imagination.

SECTIONは現代美術作家を中心に同時代のアーティストを横に並べ、その関係性や視点を浮かび上がらせるために題府基之が立ち上げた出版プロジェクト。特定のテーマを設けるのではなく、作品の選択と並置によって現在のイメージの地図を立ち上げることを試みている。国内外の作家を毎号10名収録し、記録と対話の場として継続的に刊行している。
SECTION is a publishing project started by Motoyuki Daifu to place contemporary artists, mainly visual artists, side by side and bring out their relationships and points of view. Rather than setting a specific theme, it tries to create a map of images in the present through the selection and arrangement of works. Each issue features ten artists from Japan and abroad, and it is published continuously as a place for documentation and dialogue.

10年以上前から知り合いの写真家題府基之さんが出版した雑誌。自身の作家活動の延長線上にあるとも言える題府さんの見る世界を他者の作品によって表現しているよう。世間や世界で何が評価され何が流行っていようと、これが面白いでしょっていう提示みたいな。ミュージシャンが他の人の曲をカバーするような静かな自己主張とも言えるかもしれないって勝手に思ってます。
A magazine published by photographer Motoyuki Daifu, whom I have known for over ten years. It feels like an extension of his own artistic practice, expressing the world he sees through the works of others. Regardless of what is valued or trending in society or the art world, it presents a clear sense of “this is interesting, isn’t it?” I also feel it could be seen as a quiet form of self-expression, like how musicians cover other people’s songs.

flotsam booksは、小さいながらも力強い魅力を持つ書店で、興味深いアーティストやその書籍に出会える場所です。小林さんは写真や美術、ヴィジュアルカルチャーに深い知識を持っており、店内では展覧会やユニークなイベントが頻繁に開催され、活気づいた雰囲気です。
flotsam books is a small but mighty bookshop, where you can often find interesting artists and their books. Kobayashi-san is very knowledgeable about photography, art and visual culture, and the shop often comes alive with exhibitions and other unusual events.

flotsam booksは、街の中に静かにありながらいろんな人が立ち寄れる開かれた古本屋だと思います。オーナーの小林さんのキャラクターもあって、若い人たちも入りやすく自然と人が集まってくる場所。SECTIONの発売時には出版イベントも開催させてもらいました。今回声をかけてもらえて嬉しいです。
I think flotsam books is an open second-hand bookstore, quietly located in the city, where many different people can stop by. Thanks to the character of the owner, Kobayashi-san, it is a place where young people also feel comfortable coming in, and people naturally gather. I also had the chance to hold a publication event there when SECTION was released. I am very happy to have been invited this time.
