アーティスト。台湾出身。東京造形大学大学院（造形専攻）修了。幼い頃から見ていたTV番組で、日本のエンターテインメントに魅力を感じ、2007年来日。スーパーのチラシや週刊誌、ポイントカード、Netflix、といった世の中の現象を主な題材に制作を続ける。国内外のArt Fairや、Art Book Fairへ出展多数。
Originally from Taiwan, Lee Kan Kyo is an artist and a graduate of Tokyo Zokei University Graduate School, where he majored in Design. Fascinated by Japanese entertainment TV shows he had watched on since childhood, he moved to Japan in 2007 and continues to create works that explore “phenomena” in the world, including supermarket leaflets, weekly magazines, point cards, and Netflix. He has participated in numerous art fairs and art book fairs both in Japan and abroad.

チラシやマガジンラック、ジュースボックスセルフィに最近ではCDなど、LEEさんの作品は一見楽しそうだけど、見れば見るほど狂気がチラつく。そこが魅力です。
Lee’s works, including flyers, magazine racks, juice box selfies, and more recently CDs, appear fun at first glance. Yet, the more you examine them, the more you sense an underlying sense of madness—something I find particularly appealing.

「TABFに行ったらやばいトランプがあった」と、あるとき友人に言われました。それは、野菜ジュースの自撮りをまとめたLEE KAN KYOさんのトランプでした。その後、作品が気になってイベントに行ったり、大学の講義を受けたりと、巡り合わせで今回のTOKIO ART BOOK FAIRに推薦していただきとても嬉しく思います。LEEさんの作品は、身の回りのものをモチーフとして、観察し、書き換えていて、一目見ただけで誰の作品か分かってしまう強さがあるように思います。また、徹底的な手描きや、ユニークな観点でのものづくりに、グッと惹きつけられる魅力を感じます。
A friend once told me, “I found some crazy playing cards at TABF”. It turned out to be a deck created by Lee Kan Kyo, featuring a series of juice box selfies. That encounter sparked my interest, leading me to attend his events and university lectures. I feel honored to have been recommended for this year’s TOKIO ART BOOK FAIR. Lee’s art uses everyday objects as motifs, observing and reinterpreting them into works with a distinct style that is instantly recognizable as his own. His meticulous hand-drawings and unique creative perspective make his works very captivating.
