MULU OFFICEは、台北を拠点にした出版社で、書籍デザインと製作を専門としています。2021年にアーティストのリウ・チャオツェとジョウ・ジュンシェンによって設立されました。

MULU OFFICE is a publishing studio based in Taipei, specializing in book design and book making. Founded by artists Liu Chao-Tze and Zhou Junsheng in 2021. MULU has actively collaborated with artists from various fields to explore and experiment with the diverse possibilities of transforming images into pages.

私たちは2023年の第8回abC Art Book FairでMULU OFFICEと隣同士のブースになったことがきっかけで交流が始まりました。中国のインディペンデント出版や台湾文化への関心を通じて、さまざまな関連テーマについて語り合いました。彼らの活動を深く知るにつれ、理想と実践を融合させたアプローチ、そしてインディペンデント出版を軸にした多様な表現形式の作品に、ますます魅力を感じるようになりました。その独自の視点と創造性が生み出す幅広い作品には、常に刺激を受けています。
We were fortunate to become neighbors with MULU OFFICE at the 8th abC Art Book Fair in 2023. The interest in Chinese independent publishing and in Taiwanese culture led us to discuss various related topics. The more we get to know them, the more we appreciated their integration of idealism and practicality, as well as the diverse range and forms of artistic works they produce based on independent publishing. This blend has resulted in a rich spectrum of work domains and creative outputs.

Mulu Officeの出版物は、異なる種類の紙素材や、ちょっとした指示書が添えられている点に魅力があります。青写真や浮遊するようなイメージを多用し、繊細かつ感覚的でありながら、同時に新鮮でモダンな構造を持っています。彼らの出版活動において、「時間」という概念が重要な要素として組み込まれていると強く感じます。
Mulu office’s publication has a charm of different paper materials and small instructions together with the book - offen uses blueprints and floating images, it contains a very subtle and sensitive, but at the same time very fresh and modern structure. In general we feel that “Time” is an important dimension of their publications.
