SAMY PRESSはアーティストの高原颯時と長嶺慶治郎、グラフィックデザイナーの村尾雄太によって運営されているアーティストブックのレーベルです。印刷物が作品として機能する "支持体としての出版物”のリサーチ、制作をアーティストと共同で行い、可能的なものとしてのアートの場づくりを試みています。
SAMY PRESS is an artist book label run by artists Ryuji Takahara and Keijiro Nagamine, together with graphic designer Yuta Murao. We research and produce publications that function as artworks, thinking about printed matter as a support or medium, and we work with artists to create a possible space for art.

出版芸術工房は、執筆・編集・デザインから印刷・流通までを含めた総体としての「出版」を芸術的行為の一つとして捉え直し、そこに蓄積されてきた歴史や技術を調査し実践するプロジェクトである。メンバーは江尻悠介（編集者）、ナカムラソラ（ブックディレクター）、こたぎり（ブックデザイナー）、寺道亮信（哲学研究者）、伊澤拓人（キュレーター）。2025年にアーティスツ・ブックに代表される出版にかかわる芸術についての重要文献を紹介する『PAW』を創刊した。
Publishing Arts Workshop is a project that reconsiders “publishing” as a whole—from writing, editing, and design to printing and distribution—as an artistic practice, while researching and putting into practice the history and techniques accumulated in it. The members are Yusuke Ejiri (editor), Sora Nakamura (book director), Kotagiri (book designer), Akinobu Teramichi (philosophy researcher), and Takuto Izawa (curator). In 2025, they launched “PAW,” a publication that introduces important texts on art related to publishing, especially artist books.

00123は、2025年に設立されたアートブックおよびアーティストパブリケーションを扱うプラットフォームである。書物を探究のための形式として捉え、内容、形態、構造、テキスト、イメージ、素材のあいだで、いかに思考が展開していくかを探っている。展覧会、キュレーションによるセレクション、書物に関わるプロジェクトを通して、本は単なる物体ではなく、芸術的実践と編集的実践がかたちを取る場ともなっている。
Founded in 2025, 00123 is a platform working with art books and artists' publications. We approach the book as a form of inquiry, exploring how ideas unfold across content, form, structure, text, image, and material. Through exhibitions, curated selections, and book-related projects, the book becomes not only an object but also a site where artistic and editorial practices take shape.

ある日00123から連絡をもらい、クアラルンプールで私たちのアーティストブックを展示してくれたことがきっかけで、その活動を知りました。展示はカリオンのテキストの一節をテーマに構成されたもので、思いがけないかたちで声をかけてもらえたことをメンバー一同とても嬉しく思いました。その活動からはアートブックへの強い関心と独自の姿勢を感じています。今回、共に出展できるのを楽しみにしています。
One day we received a message from 00123, and through their exhibition of our artist books in Kuala Lumpur, we came to know their activities. The exhibition was structured around a passage from Carion’s text, and we were all very happy to be invited in such an unexpected way. From their work, we feel a strong interest in art books and a distinct approach. We are looking forward to exhibiting together this time.

SAMY PRESSさんの出版物や活動スタイルには、刺激をもらっています。いろいろなアーティストと協働し、アーティスツブックからポストカードまで、それ自体が作品となる「支持体としての出版物」をつくられていて、私たちの研究するウリセス・カリオンなども連なる、アーティスツブックの歴史の流れを感じさせてくれます。個人的には、展覧会DMを作品化する「POSTAL MATTER」が好きで、共感します！
I am inspired by SAMY PRESS’s publications and their way of working. They collaborate with many artists and create “publications as support,” where the publication itself becomes the artwork, from artist books to postcards. It evokes the history of artist books, including figures like Ulises Carrión. Personally, I really like their project “POSTAL MATTER,” which turns exhibition invitation cards into works, and I strongly relate to it.

東京の書店で初めてSAMY PRESSの本に出会いました。それ以来、その本を集め、他の人にも紹介したいと思うようになりました。SAMY PRESSがアーティストブックに向き合う姿勢には、コンセプトと物質性の両面において強く惹かれています。彼らの出版物は、繊細で独自の視点から立ち上がることが多いです。それらをめくることで、日常のささやかな観察に対する感受性が呼び起こされます。この繊細さは現在の瞬間にとどまるものではなく、時間とともにゆっくりと展開していきます。
I first encountered a book from SAMY PRESS in a bookshop in Tokyo. Since then, I have wanted to collect their books and share them with others. I really admire the way SAMY PRESS approaches the artist’s book, both conceptually and materially. Their publications often emerge from a delicate and distinctive perspective. Flipping through them brings back a sensitivity to the subtle observations of everyday life. This delicacy does not remain in the present moment, but gradually unfolds over time.
