「アジア／アフリカ／アラブ 文芸のいまを追いかける本棚」を町の本屋さんに増やすべく、シェア型書店で外国語原書＋和書を販売。本店・本屋の実験室(高円寺)２棚、BOOKSHOP TRAVELLER(祖師ヶ谷大蔵)１箱に出店中。タイ語 & アラビア語圏の本を中心に “マダニホンゴデヨメナイ・オモシロイモノ” もまじえて少しずつ棚を育てています。特に同時代作家との出会いを目指しながら、その土壌にある古典・歴史・文化・言語への好奇心も広げていく。その過程を、冒険的読者のみなさんと共有できれば嬉しいです。
Yomedoyomanedo brings Japanese and foreign-language books to local shared bookstores, aiming to expand bookshelves featuring contemporary literature from Asian, African, and the Arabian regions. Currently, we manage two bookshelves at HONTEN: The Bookseller’s Laboratory in Koenji and one at BOOKSHOP TRAVELLER in Soshigaya-Okura. Our selection, primarily featuring works from Thai and Arabic-speaking regions, continues to expand slowly with exciting titles not yet available in Japanese. We aim to discover contemporary writers while fostering an interest in classic literature, history, culture, and languages that provide their foundation. We would be delighted to share this journey with adventurous readers.
