湘南出身のアーティストのTaikou Kanedaと写真家の百野幹人によるパブリッシング・プラットフォーム。「アウトサイドの視点」をテーマに作家を招聘し、広大な海や自然界に寄り添う生活、ライフスタイルや「遊び」を通して得られた、独自の感性により展開されている。2025年4月より地元神奈川県藤沢市の片瀬江ノ島に Artbook & Gallery Space 「Bong Sadhu Room」をオープン。製作活動を通して地域外の人々も巻き込み、包括的で地域に根ざした表現活動を促進する役割を果たし始めている。
A publishing house funded by Taikou Kaneda (Artist) and Mikito Hyakuno (Photographer), based in Shonan, Japan. We collect various artists for our theme, "View From Outsider." It is developed with a unique sensibility obtained through "playing" and interacting with our environment; living close to the sea and the natural world. We opened a bookstore and gallery "Bong Sadhu Room" in the spring of 2025. It has started to function as a space for interaction, not only within the local community but also for people from outside, helping to promote a more inclusive and regionally integrated form of expression.

2001年生まれのペインター喜多秀亮とフォトグラファー山村優人からなる、より広い視点で作品制作、発表する為のユニット。 日々の暮らしで聴いてる音、目にする景色などから立ち上がる "宇宙的な感覚" を軸に制作している。
We are a unit formed by painter Shusuke Kita, born in 2001, and photographer Yuto Yamamura, created to make and present works from a broader perspective. Our work is based on a “cosmic sense” that emerges from the sounds we hear and the scenes we see in everyday life.

Cosmic Jamは僕らBong Sadhuの一つ下の年齢の作家ユニットで、幹人と優人は同じスタジオの後輩でもあり、喜多は僕らの店でも昨年展示をしてくれました。活動形態がすごく似ていて、年齢的にも少し後輩なポジションでもあるのかな？今回、ぜひ出展してよと両者一致で声かけさせていただきました。僕らが彼らの製作物について説明するよりも、独自の世界観のある作品を是非直接見て素直に感じてほしいと思います。
Cosmic Jam is an artist unit one year younger than us at Bong Sadhu. Mikito and Yuto are also juniors from the same studio, and Kita had an exhibition at our shop last year. Their way of working is very similar to ours, and they are also a bit younger than us. This time, we both agreed to invite them to join. Rather than us explaining their work, we hope you will see it directly and experience their unique world for yourself.

dig around roundは、リサーチが美術へとさまよい出る場所である。手がかりをたどり、断片を集め、物語を組み立て、それらを本へ、そしてときにみずからが望む別のかたちへと変えていく。dig around roundは、現在日本・福岡を拠点とするインディペンデントなリサーチ／アートスタジオである。その歩みは、演劇演出、人類学、茶、ホスピタリティ、出版、音楽、デザインを横断する道のりから育まれてきた。それぞれの過程は、人がいかに創造するのか、文化がいかに移動するのか、知がいかに共有されるのかを理解するための、異なる方法をもたらしてきた。
dig around round is where research wanders into art. Following clues, collecting fragments, building stories, and turning them into books; sometimes into other forms they wanna take. dig around around is an independent research and art studio currently based in Fukuoka, Japan. It grew out of a path that moved through theatre direction, anthropology, tea, hospitality, publishing, music, and design. Each step offered a different way of understanding how people create, how culture travels, and how knowledge is shared.

アオちゃんは僕らのホームエリアである片瀬江ノ島の「Ace General Store」を通して出会い、パートナーのGoくんがGuruguru BrainというレーベルオーナーでMaya Ongakuがレコードのリリースもしています。そういったホームでの活動のつながりで出会い、お店の開店のときに彼女のリサーチブック「Roots」を書店に置かせてもらいました。今回は福岡から来てくれて、新作本に加えてコラボグッズなどもリリース予定です。一緒のブースに出れることをとても嬉しく思います。
We met Ao through Ace General Store in Katase Enoshima, our home area. Her partner Go runs the label Guruguru Brain, and Maya Ongaku has also released records with them. Through these local connections, we met, and when the shop opened, we had the chance to carry her research book “Roots” in the store. This time she is coming from Fukuoka, and plans to release new books as well as collaborative goods. We are very happy to share a booth together.

同世代でありながら、お店を運営をしつつ展示の開催や海外のブックフェアにも積極的に参加する二人の活動には、大きな刺激を感じています。インディペンデントを軸に、ハンドメイドで一つ一つに魂を込めた作品などを生み出し、自分たちの手の届く範囲で純粋な表現を追求している姿勢が印象的です。また、同世代で似た方向を向く仲間たちを巻き込みながら、場やムーブメントを生み出している点にも強く惹かれます。彼らの生活や遊びから自然に派生する作品には、常に彼ら自身の視点がしっかりと息づいている気がします。
Although they are from the same generation as us, we feel greatly inspired by how they run a shop while also organising exhibitions and actively taking part in book fairs abroad. With independence at the core, they create handmade works with care, putting their spirit into each piece, and pursue pure expression within what is within their reach. We are also strongly drawn to how they bring in peers of the same generation with similar directions, creating spaces and movements together. Their works, which naturally grow out of their daily life and play, always carry a strong sense of their own perspective.

江の島にあるAce General Storeを通じてBong Sadhuと出会いました。Ace General Storeは、私が「Guruguru Brain clouds & waves 7-inch series」で協働した友人たちが運営するショップです。このシリーズは四季に沿って展開されたアナログ盤のみのヴァイナル・プロジェクトで、各レコードのスリーブは季節を反映するよう手染めされています。Bong Sadhuは、台湾でのある長い春のあいだに私の最初の本『（ww） ROOTS』を取り扱ってくれ、それ以来、私たちは友人です。彼らの活動は、美術、印刷、インディペンデント出版を、独特の好奇心と丁寧さとともに結びつけています。
I first met Bong Sadhu through Ace General Store in Enoshima, a shop run by friends I collaborated with on the “Guruguru Brain clouds & waves 7-inch series.”
This series is an analog-only vinyl project developed around the four seasons, with each record sleeve hand-dyed to reflect the season.
Bong Sadhu carried my first book “(ww) ROOTS” during one long spring in Taiwan, and we have been friends ever since.
Their activities bring together art, print, and independent publishing with a distinct sense of curiosity and care.
