dmp editionsは、台湾・台北を拠点とし、出版、コンテンツ編集、アーカイヴ、そして本づくりに関わるあらゆる領域において学際的なアプローチを実践する場である。主に台湾のアーティスト、作家、編集者、キュレーターと協働し、私たちの立つ場所から、本のページを通して新たな視点や思考のあり方を提示し、オルタナティブな物語の構築を試みている。
dmp editions is a practicing field based in Taipei, Taiwan that involves a multidisciplinary approach to publishing, content editing, archiving and all things related to book-making. We work mainly with Taiwanese artists, writers, editors, and curators to offer new ways of seeing and thinking as well as developing alternative narratives portrayed through the pages of a book from where we stand.

cuspdot is a non-profit space in Hangzhou, founded in 2020, organizing exhibitions, workshops, and public programs. An ordinary cusp occurring as the caustic of light rays in the bottom of a cup reflects our attention to everyday life. We work through horizontality and shared responsibility, growing as a living, collective process shaped by listening, care, and dialogue, while exploring ways to sustain the space and foster learning, joy, and mutual support

本と展覧会をひとつのものとして扱っている点がとても好きです。また、アーティストや読者とのコミュニケーションのあり方にも魅力を感じます。ときに本は本ではなく、来場者が探求するためのゲームやガイドのような存在として機能しています。
I like how they treat the book and the exhibition as they’re one, as well as the way they communicate with the artists and the readers, sometimes a book isn’t a book, rather as a game or a guide for the visitor to explore.

Pon Dingは、2016年に台北で設立されたインディペンデント書店兼プロジェクトスペースである。アートブック、デザイン出版物、小規模なエディションを中心に扱い、アーティスト、デザイナー、出版社が出会う場として機能している。展覧会、トーク、コラボレーションを通して、出版が共有される文化的実践となる場を育んでいる。
Pon Ding is an independent bookstore and project space founded in Taipei in 2016. Centered around art books, design publications, and small press editions, it operates as a meeting point for artists, designers, and publishers. Through exhibitions, talks, and collaborations, Pon Ding cultivates a space where publishing becomes a shared cultural practice.

さまざまなタイトルやオブジェクト、素材を適切に配置することで空間が構成されているというアイデアがとても好きです。その配置によって、pon dingの内容は来場者が読むことのできる一冊の本のように整えられています。彼らが制作する本と同様に、すべてが丁寧に統御され、繊細な感触が感じられます。
I like the idea of how the space is organized, by placing a variety of titles, the objects and the materials in a proper way, the content of pon ding is well-arranged as a book for the visitors to read. As well as the books they made, everything is well-conducted and with a touch of delicacy.

Founded in Taipei in 2011, Waiting Room is dedicated to independent cultural brands, music, and printed publications from Taiwan and around the world. The space regularly hosts pop-ups, music events, and exhibitions. Since 2018, it has also organized the independent art fair “Room Service”, held in cities such as Taipei and Seoul.

Waiting RoomのTrixが主催するブックフェア「Room Service」がとても好きです。フェアそのものから店舗空間に至るまで、本、ファッション、音楽において独自のセンスがあります。アーティストとともに制作している出版物には、ラフさと新鮮さが心地よく混ざり合い、まるで台北のストリートから生まれたインディーロックバンドのような雰囲気を感じさせてくれます。
I really enjoy the fair, Room Service, organized by Trix from waiting room. From the fair itself to the store front, they have an unique taste of the books, the fashion and the music. The publications they worked with the artists, like a good mixture of roughness and freshness, somehow bringing out a vibe as an indie rock band growing out of the streets of Taipei.

dmp has been publishing books by local and international artists over a long period of time. Their work shows a consistent focus on independent publishing, while engaging with artistic practices across different regions. Through their projects, they support various ways of making and sharing work.

dmp editionsのシャウバ・チャン（Shauba Chang）とは、ソーシャルメディアがまだ新しかった頃にFacebookでメッセージを送ったことをきっかけに、何年も前に出会いました。その後数年間、私たちはdidiとともに3階の小さなスタジオを共有していました。シャウバは、本を通して平面的なイメージを空間的な体験へと変換する優れた手腕を持っています。彼女の出版物においては、スケールは決して絶対的なものではなく、小さいものと大きいものが常に対話しています。
I first met Shauba Chang of dmp editions many years ago, back when social media was still a new thing and I messaged her on Facebook. For several years we shared a small third-floor studio with didi. Shauba has a remarkable way of turning flat images into spatial experiences through books. In her publications, scale is never absolute—small and large are always in conversation.

Waterfallの初期から現在のdmp editionsに至るまで、彼らは台湾のインディペンデントなアートブック出版シーンにおいて長く重要な存在であり、Waiting Roomとしてもオープン当初から継続して注目してきたプロジェクトです。過去には、私たちの友人であるフォトグラファー エタン・チェン（Etang Chen）の写真集をほぼ同時期に刊行していたこともあり、毎年の「Room Service」にも継続的に参加してくれています。今回、このように海外で一緒に出展する機会にお招きいただけたことをとても嬉しく思っており、会場で皆さまにお会いできるのを楽しみにしています。
From the early days of Waterfall to the present dmp editions, they have long been an important presence in Taiwan’s independent art book publishing scene and have been a project that Waiting Room has continued to follow since our opening. In the past, we also happened to publish photobooks by our photographer friend Etang Chen around the same time, and they have been regular participants in our Room Service events every year. We’re very happy to be invited by them this time to table overseas together, and we look forward to seeing everyone there.
