本屋青旗は、視覚文化を基軸とした本屋として2020年10月福岡市薬院新川沿いにオープンしました。作品集、写真集ならびにアートブックや雑誌、ZINEなどの選書、出版を行い、並行して関連する作家らによる展示を開催しています。
Located near the Yakuin-shinkawa River in Fukuoka, Ao-Hata Books is a bookstore focused on visual culture, opened in October 2020. It offers a selection of monographs, photobooks, art books, magazines, and zines while also engaging in publishing and hosting exhibitions featuring related artists.

初めて青旗に行った時は興奮して本を爆買いしました。
今はイベントに向けて、Goodsとともに割れ物について考えるための往復書簡のようなことをやっています。まだ何ができるかわかりませんがとても楽しいです！
When I went to Ao-Hata for the first time, I was so excited that I ended up buying a ton of books.
Now in preparation for the event, I’m working with Goods to come up with something like a form of correspondence to think about fragile items. I don’t know what will come of it just yet but it’s a lot of fun!

I see Honya Seiki (Bookstore Seiki) as a bookstore that is trying to create a new foundation for visual arts in Fukuoka, or perhaps Kyushu.
It is refreshing to see internationally influential artists and locally rooted expressions being exhibited and published side by side.
It all comes down to having a very strong sense of aesthetics.
